In a continuing effort to provide high quality products, Autodesk has released Hotfix TS84050 which addresses a problem where the Vault 2 may return the following error "Active project is not a Vault project". This README file highlights how to install, and other important information regarding this update.

Description of the issue:
=========================

This hotfix has been release to address a problem where the Vault 2 may return the following error "Active project is not a Vault project"

This error may occur when you answer "No" when Inventor asks you if you want to open the Vault when attempting to save a file not checked into the Vault and then immediately try to open the Vault 2 from the Vault menu.

System Requirements:
====================

-Inventor 8 SP1 or Inventor Professional 8 SP1
-Vault 2 Client

To tell if your Inventor installation is the SP1 install:

- Launch Autodesk Inventor 8 or Autodesk Inventor 8 Professional
- Select the About Autodesk Inventor or About Autodesk Inventor Professional
- In the dialog box thats opened locate the build information and confirm that the build number is 081d. If the build number is not 081d then please apply SP1 prior to installing this hotfix


To tell if you have the Vault 2 Client installed

- Launch Autodesk Vault Explorer 
- Select the About Vault Explorer from the help pulldown menu
- In the dialog box thats opened locate the build information and confirm that the build number is 8.2.29.0. If the build number is not 8.2.29.0 then you have have a version of the Vault client installed other that version 2.

This hotfix should only be applied to systems directly affected by the issue described above. This is the only issue for which this hotfix has been created to address.

Installation Instructions:
==========================

1. Download Hotfix TS84050
2. Extract TS84050.EXE from TS84050.ZIP downloaded in step 1
3. Double click on TS84050.EXE to install this Hotfix on each system running Inventor 8.
4. Once finshed you'll receive the "Autodesk Inventor 8 update" dialog box stating that the update has been succesfully applied.
